Join us for the “Giving Walk” November 27th

Utah artist Cristall Harper joins the gallery for our Thanksgiving “Giving Walk” November 27th from 4-6pm. The show “Deck the Walls” is a group exhibition of small sized works, and Harper will contribute her colorful dog portraits in her debut. Three non profit organizations including the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley will benefit from SVGA gallery sales,Puppy Love 6x6oil and each gallery will have donation bins during the walk.

 

 

Lowe/Anker duo to attend Gallery Walk

In the high stakes game of big wall mountain climbing Conrad Anker is a familiar name. Friday 4th Anker and his wife, acclaimed artist Jennifer Lowe, will be in attendance at Kneeland Gallery during the gallery walk for Lowe’s exhibition opening. Anker’s award winning movie Meru premiers the same night in Ketchum at Magic Lantern Theatre at 4.30pm, after which Anker will be available at Kneeland Gallery until 6.45pm to answer questions about his extraordinary ascent of India’s most challenging peak, the Shark’s Fin. He will then open the 7pm showing of Meru with an introductory speech to the audience about the challenges and near death experiences that surrounded his team’s incredible journey.

Gilcrease Museum 2015 Collectors’ Reserve Exhibition

Carol Alleman has been invited to participate in the Gilcrease Museum 2015 Collectors’ Reserve, an invitational show and sale, supporting the Acquisition Fund for Gilcrease Museum. Gilcrease Museum is owned by the City of Tulsa and is managed by The University of Tulsa. This highly regarded museum houses the world’s largest, most comprehensive collection of art of the American West, as well as a growing collection of art and artifacts from Central and South America. Alleman will be exhibiting Twilight Stars and SerenityTwilight-Stars-2.

YMCA gifted “Cody” the lab

John Horejs completed this painted lab “Cody” which was commissioned and gifted to the Wood River YMCA. It was unveiled yesterday in conjunction with a book signing by the authors of the book “How Cody Found His True Colors”, with all proceeds going to the Animal Shelter.
